About
Oldenburg mare — *2019
This 5-year-old black mare, ready to perform, is characterized by spectacular and yet secure basic gaits. She is always an energetic and mentally calm mare with enormous strength and tenacity.
Hildegard was gently broken in as a 4-year-old and patiently prepared for competition. Hildegard won the Dressage Horse A class at her very first show. Since then, she has won several competitions, has always placed highly and is a delight for sporty riders with competitive ambitions and an understanding of strong horses.

Veterinary pre-screening
You receive access to the full x-ray documentation and forward it to your vet for review.

Trial ride in Börrstadt
After your vet's go-ahead we schedule an on-site visit. You meet Hildegard in the stable, in hand and under saddle.

Pre-purchase exam
If you wish to proceed, you commission a vet of your choice to perform a clinical pre-purchase exam — and any further imaging or tests.

Closing
Once we agree, the contract, payment and handover of the horse follow.

What buyers want to know
How does a test ride work when buying a dressage horse?
At our location in Börrstadt. First, a horse inspection and presentation in hand at our arena, then a training ride by our trainer, followed by your test ride. Plan for approximately one to two hours.
How does a pre-purchase veterinary examination (PPE) work for a dressage horse?
You engage a veterinarian of your choice to conduct the clinical examination. Standard procedures include assessment at rest and in motion, flexion tests, and optional additional imaging (X-rays, ultrasound).
What do the levels E, A, L, M, S mean in dressage training?
The German performance class scale describes progressively increasing training levels: E (Beginner) and A (Novice) form the foundation training, L (Elementary) introduces the first collected movements, M (Medium) requires flying changes, traversals and beginning collection, S (Advanced) extends to Grand Prix. Hildegard is currently presented at the Dressage Horse S level.
Why are you selling Hildegard?
All our horses are for sale sooner or later. We acquire promising young dressage horses at foal age, raise them carefully, train them, and then sell them to riders who appreciate our philosophy and our horses.
